Doug Kari

Doug Kari, a principal in Arbitech, has served in numerous positions, including EVP, Sales Director and Chief Legal Officer. Doug overseas a team that manages a very successful base and provides counsel to senior management and the Board.

In 2012, a brief authored by Doug was cited in a landmark U.S. Supreme Court case involving international trade in copyrighted products. Doug currently represents hundreds of technology companies as amici curiae in a patent law case before the Supreme Court.

Doug was formerly a partner in Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, where he represented Lucent Technologies, Fidelity Investments, Home Shopping Network and other companies in high-stakes litigation. Doug has a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley and a J.D. magna cum laude from Hastings College of the Law. Doug has published widely-read articles about technology and the law and he’s also an accomplished mountaineer who has scaled Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua, two of the world’s highest summits.
