Fredy Issa

With a career spanning over 15 years, Fredy has managed sales initiatives across many different countries and cultures through Europe as well as Middle East and Africa. Eight of those years, Fredy has lead sizeable, and largely remote based sales teams, taking a hands-on approach in guiding sales activities and improving operational efficiencies. He has gathered a variety of practical and proven abilities that make him a results-driven, strategic and proactive thinking Business Leader. Most of his career expertise has been attained through diverse verticals including Healthcare, Security and IT where he had the privilege of working with some of the most revered organizations across these sectors such as Dell, EMC and GE.

Jason McCarty

Jason McCarty is Arbitech’s Director of Information Systems. Jason manages all of Arbitech’s IT staff and leads in the development and maintenance of Arbitech’s internal and external IT needs. Jason’s enthusiasm and commitment to Arbitech’s strategic IT goals helps the company maintain a balance of operational excellence and innovation.

Jason began working at Arbitech in 2005. Prior to joining Arbitech, Jason held IT Management positions with New Millennium Financial and First Appraisal Network. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology and embraces continual education as a natural part of his career.

Stuart Jeffries

Stuart Jeffries is a founding member and serves as Arbitech’s Director of Purchasing. Since 1995, Stuart has been diligently developing a worldwide supply network of Tier1 technology products, working closely with Arbitech’s vendors by communicating market and technology trends and jointly strategizing to get the lowest possible pricing for customers.

“When we work together to understand the marketplace and maximize the opportunities, our vendors benefit by increasing their sales. Simultaneously, Arbitech is able to continue its fast-paced growth, and our customers make more profits and gain a competitive edge. It’s a win-win and I love it!”

Stuart loves to be outdoors: hiking trails, bagging peaks, slacklining in the park or cruising the boardwalk on his red beach cruiser with his puppy LeeLoo.

Jamie Carwana

Jamie Carwana is Arbitech’s Sr. Controller. Jamie has been in the industry since 2001, originally joining the company in February 2003. Jamie has held numerous positions within Arbitech including Accounts Payable Manager and Assistant Controller. 

In her role, Jamie is responsible for the maintenance and auditing of financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. She is also an invaluable member of the company’s human resource and compliance departments. 

Jamie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Cal State Fullerton, with an emphasis in American Studies in 2001. She is also a certified professional of human resources (PHR).

Jimmy Whalen

James G. Whalen, known throughout the industry as Jimmy, serves as CEO and president of Arbitech. Jimmy was one of Arbitech’s founding members and has been a leader of the company for more than 20 years.

A visionary executive in the tech distribution space, Jimmy has a proven track record of foreseeing industry trends, driving new business, and forging pivotal relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners. Jimmy was instrumental in building Arbitech’s thriving configuration practice, expanding the company’s long list of product lines, and launching the successful ecommerce and physical security businesses.

A graduate of USC’s Marshall School of Business, Jimmy is at heart an entrepreneur. Over the past two decades he’s been relentless in improving Arbitech’s capabilities and seeking new opportunities. Jimmy’s work ethic and can-do spirit serve as a model for the entire Arbitech team.

When he’s not on the road meeting with customers and industry leaders, Jimmy usually starts his day before sunrise in Arbitech’s gym. An avid golfer, Jimmy is a member of El Niguel Country Club. He resides in Laguna Niguel, California, with his wife Jocelyn and three children.

David Walker

Mr. Walker serves as Arbitech’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He comes to Arbitech with over 20 years of accounting and corporate finance experience, of which more than 10 years were in an executive capacity. David has had broad exposure to a multitude of industries. Having started his career at Deloitte, he eventually moved to middle market investment banking, where he served as Managing Director of Professional Services at RSM EquiCo. He has worked as a CFO/COO for companies in the distribution, software, consumer products, and professional services industries, which makes him a valuable member of Arbitech’s executive management team. 

David graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a Masters of Accountancy, a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, and a minor in Spanish. David is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), speaks Spanish fluently, and is active in various professional organizations -- most recently serving as a board member of Orange County Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI).

Doug Kari

Doug Kari serves as Arbitech’s Chief Legal Officer. Doug came to Arbitech from Orrick, one of the nation’s premier law firms, where he was a partner specializing in intellectual property and business litigation.

In 2000, Doug began representing Arbitech as outside counsel. He joined the company in 2002 and became one of the principals.

In 2012, a brief authored by Doug was cited in a landmark U.S. Supreme Court case involving international trade in copyrighted products. In 2017, Doug represented several hundred technology companies as amici curiae in a patent law case before the Supreme Court. 

Doug’s articles about law and technology have appeared in Ars Technica, LA Weekly, Las Vegas Review-Journal, SF Daily Journal, LA Lawyer, Nevada Appeal and San Diego Union-Tribune. 

Doug has a B.A. in English from U.C. Berkeley and a J.D. magna cum laude from Hastings College of the Law. Doug is also an accomplished mountaineer who has scaled Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua, two of the world’s highest summits.
